Working Student Supply Chain – Automation in Logistics (m/f/d)

Summary

As a student working in supply chain for the Munich plant of LivaNova Deutschland GmbH you will be responsible for supporting the department along the whole supply chain. Supply Chain at LivaNova comprises the fields of customer orders processing, tactical procurement, production planning and scheduling, internal logistics as well as in export of goods. The position will provide a broad and interconnected view of the whole supply chain. The main focus of this position is related to internal logistics and especially to automation in material movements. Main question: How can we improve the logistical processes in material transports (and warehouse) (e.g. AGV/AMR)?

General Responsibilities

• Support the department in day-to-day business
• Assistance in Workshops for Change Management and Continuous Improvement (Preparation, Execution, Sustainment)
• Assistance in setup of processes in supply chain department (Preparation, Execution)
• Creation of documents, reports, excel spreadsheets and presentations
• Creating reports and analysis of current state situations for management presentation
• Participate in new innovative activities in supply chain

Focus Topic

• How can we improve the logistical processes in material transports (and warehouse) (e.g. AGV/AMR)
• Process analysis including process mapping of all internal material flows
• Set up project plan for material flow automation
• Data analysis for to justify the investment
• Implementation of at least a trial/pilot period for an automatic material movement

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Production&Logistics, Supply Chain Management
• Interest in continuous improvement, LEAN, Supply Chain, Logistics, Automation
• MS Office user knowledge
• English and German (B2 or higher) language skills, both written and spoken
• Analytical and conceptual skills
• Reliable, self-responsible and structured work
• Good communication and team skills
