As a Functional Safety Intern, you will work closely with our experienced engineers to understand safety features in vehicles, particularly in electric powertrains and support in development of functional safety for eAxle system and in the process, you will gain hands-on experience in applying safety standards such as ISO 26262 and functional safety methodologies.

Gain understanding of safety features in vehicles, especially in electric powertrains, and apply this knowledge to support the development of functional safety (ISO 26262).

Key areas of responsibility

  • Assist in the Architectural migration to a Functional Safety (FuSa) compliant tool (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Ansys Medini) for architecture development using SysML.
  • Support the maintenance of FuSa in requirement management tool (JAMA), including migrating documents, creating traceability, generating reports, and maintaining dashboards.
  • Support in analysis of safety work products to ensure that safety-critical systems meet necessary functional safety objectives.
  • Support FuSa planning activities in Project planning tool (JIRA), ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and understand safety requirements, creating traceability between different safety functions.

Position requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
  • Understanding of safety features in vehicles and electric powertrains.
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO 26262 and functional safety methodologies is a plus.

Proficiency in tools such as Medini, Jama, and JIRA is a plus.

  • The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, teamwork abilities, time management skills, and technical proficiency.
