Business Need / Purpose of Role:

The is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end payroll processes using ADP Workforce Now in the US and/or Canada. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with payroll laws and regulations. The Payroll Administrator will play a critical role in maintaining data integrity, resolving payroll-related issues, and driving process improvements within the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Payroll Expertise: Process routine complex and non-complex biweekly payroll runs for employees across multiple divisions and legal entities. Collects, organizes, and enters pay data into payroll systems, review variances and exception audits to ensure an accurate payroll including reconciling hours and other earnings and adjustments.
  • Analysis, Reconciliation & Reporting: Performs payroll processes and global reconciliation of wages for inpatriate and expatriate employees. Responsible for entry of, analysis, deduction processing, and payment of deductions to appropriate agencies as applicable. Analyzes, calculates and processes taxable fringe benefits such as use of company vehicles, employee stock programs, relocation, etc. Responsible for Quarterly and Annual standard work such as tax analysis, filing, and remittance.
  • Commitment to Quality: Identifies key issues and patterns from partial and conflicting data. Takes broad perspective to problems and finds new/less obvious solutions. Ensures work activities are consistent and running efficiently, discover inconsistencies, document, and communicate the need for changes.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 3 years of payroll experience
  • Exemplary attendance and ability to work mandatory overtime and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to flex the schedule to overlap with team members.
  • Desirable Certifications/Licenses: PCP/CPM certification in Canada or FPC/CPP certification
  • High level of experience with ADP Workforce Now for payroll.
  • Desirable: Experience in KRONOS, Workday, and/or other ADP products.
  • Employees working from home, meeting virtually is required. Maintain sufficient internet access, and maintain a confidential workspace free from distractions.
  • Must have and frequently use a smartphone. Weir will provide if one is not available. Ability to teach others and troubleshoot barriers in use. Willingness to download and use various applications on your own device or company provided smartphone.
  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
