Job Description

Position Overview:

The Payroll Administrator prepares payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly processing using ADP Vantage; processes wage-withholding orders, provides monthly metrics to our businesses, and recommends appropriate payroll processes and policy improvement.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Process and deliver weekly payout of multi-state payrolls, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Review, prepare, and input payroll data using the ADP Vantage payroll system, including pay, job, organization, tax, and status changes
  • Deliver accurate and timely payrolls that are compliant with state and federal regulations for the majority of the US states.
  • Audit and reconcile payroll results for each payroll processed
  • Process employee wage withholding orders (garnishments, child support, and tax levies).
  • Provide customer service to our Businesses and employees.
  • Troubleshoot issues in conjunction with our HRIS, Benefit, and Retirement Departments.
  • Generate reports (ad hoc & standard) as required using ADP Vantage and Excel
  • Other related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and a change in priorities; highly organized and deadline-sensitive.
  • Multi-state payroll experience required.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team environment, and be detail-oriented.
  • Attend virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to relate with employees at all levels to ensure accuracy and reduce errors.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education

Minimum: High school diploma

Preferred: BA/BS in a related field or equivalent American Payroll Association certification

Experience

Minimum: 3-5 years of experience in Payroll with automated payroll system- ADP (Enterprise, Vantage or WorkForce Now) as well as Multi-state payroll experience
