Your Assignment

EUV systems use hydrogen (H2) for several reasons. The Gas Facility Unit (GFU) is a module that regulates H2 flow from bulk in a controlled manner towards the EUV system. The amount of machine types and customer specific requirements are increasing. This means also the number of module variants are increasing, leading to multiple design configurations which need to be managed efficiently. Therefore, the goal of this internship is to investigate and develop strategies to manage the increasing number of GFU configurations effectively. Your tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Familiarize yourself with the module design and its critical components;
  • Understand the current way of working and visualize it in a presentable format;
  • Collect information from different departments in the organization;
  • Investigate opportunities to deal with multiple configurations and engineering documentation in the bill of materials (BOM);
  • Come up with a strategy and align with designers and architects;
  • Report findings.
