Job Summary
The intern will assist the R&D team in Additive Manufacturing projects relating to 3D printing, process optimization and material characterization
Reports to: Lead Scientist (Additive Manufacturing)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the engineer on lab set up activities, documentation, R&D and part printing works.
- Operates and maintain additive manufacturing machines, carry out preprocessing activities like powder preparation and loading, machine set-up.
- Perform powder and part characterization activities such as particle size analyzing, test coupon cut up, mounting and polishing works.
- Carries out post processing activities such as inspection, de-powdering, cleaning, and support removal.
- Work closely with the Additive Manufacturing team to support daily 3D Printing operations.
- Willing to learn operation of multiple machines and adapt to fast changing environment.
Requisite Criteria & Skills
- Pursing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Aerospace, or Material Science.
- Knowledge on CAD (Solidworks or equivalent) and metallography analytical tools will be an added advantage.
- Team player with strong analytical skills
