MDRF organization of STmicroelectronics is expanding its Central R&D branch opening a new position to a student in electronic engineering who is looking for a challenging subject for his/her thesis:

“Integration and validation of advanced testability solutions, based on RTL2GDS approach, into high-density ASIC designs”.

The activity will primarily focus upon:

  • Learning of design architecture and specification.
  • RTL synthesis.
  • Scan compression insertion for logic testing.
  • Use of multi-fault model, power-aware ATPG techniques with application of A.I (Artificial Intelligence) algorithms.
  • Built-In Self Test (BIST) integration for embedded memory testing.
  • Timing analysis, formal verification and pattern validation.
  • Logic diagnosis.

Pre-requisites / knowledge:

  • Electronics and digital design fundaments.
  • Design For Test techniques and EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence).
  • Unix language / Office 365
  • Good English, spoken and written.

Knowledge of other programming languages (TCL, Perl, C++…) and project management tools (svn, csv, git, synchronicity) is appreciated also.

Duration: 6-12 months
