Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and creative social media intern to join our dynamic marketing and communications team for the 2025-2026 academic year.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University Hamilton Lugar School

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 1 year of social media content creation experience

SKILLS

Required

  • Strong understanding of HLS's values and mission
  • Ample experience working with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok) and an understanding of their respective best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Creativity for workshopping new post concepts
  • Written skills for writing post captions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Graphic design skills for making event flyers and social media posts
  • Ability to produce content in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team dynamic
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of current social media trends
  • Keen eye for compelling visuals
  • Willingness to eagerly contribute to our global mission and connect with our diverse community

Working Conditions / Demands

Fast-paced working environment

Work Location

This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work at the Hamilton Lugar School), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.

Advertised Salary

$12 per hour

Work Hours

10-15 hours a week

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for event coverage or urgent content deadlines
