This Position reports to:

Service Operations Manager

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to complex automation projects in the energy sector from the very beginning. You will provide excellent customer service on a daily basis to identify and meet our customers' needs and ensure their satisfaction. You will use your expertise to identify efficient technical solutions to improve system and operational performance.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid.

This role is part of the service unit of the local Energy Industries (PAEN) division in Mannheim.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Analyzing and clarifying customer requirements and tenders, as well as developing technical concepts and proposals with a clear focus on process automation in the energy sector
  • Calculating project costs, preparing specifications and bid documents
  • Working closely with sales and project management, particularly during technical presentations and bid negotiations
  • Contributing to the successful implementation of the engineering, installation, and commissioning phases

You will be part of a dedicated, dynamic, and high-performing team where you can fully develop and further develop your skills.

Qualifications for the role

  • You have several years of experience in automation technology as a proposal, service, or project engineer
  • You have in-depth knowledge of automation systems, particularly in the use of the Melody control system (engineering, configuration, visualization)
  • You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or process engineering, or a comparable qualification with professional experience
  • You are self-motivated, curious, and solution-oriented. You are also willing to familiarize yourself with new technologies
  • You are fluent in German and have written and spoken English skills
  • You are willing to travel, primarily in southern Germany (approx. 30% - 40%)
