As a Customer Quality Support Engineer, you will be the primary contact for quality-related customer issues, balancing customer needs with Infineon’s interests. Using your semiconductor expertise, you’ll resolve complaints, support product launches, and ensure customer satisfaction while enabling business growth through excellent service and collaboration.

In your new role you will:

  • Manage customer relationships globally with regular alignment on targets and performance.
  • Define strategies and measure customer satisfaction to achieve best-in-class ratings, balance vs profitability on our side.
  • Authority of all quality-related elements in IFX customer contracts.
  • Gating and coordination function for Customer Audits and Visit requests
  • For those agreed customers, manage customer portals i.e., upload reports/Infineon quality certificates; review latest customer updates/notifications/requirements.

Complaint management

  • Process and execution ownership (CI and CM role) of the Complaint Management process.
  • Gating interface for incoming inquiries and outgoing communication(including CAR/SAR)
  • Facilitate the timely closure of customer requests internally and with the customer
  • Quarantined Material Request customer communication and field risk mitigation, including triggering of the RMA process if applicable
  • Management of customer escalation and communication strategy(globally).
  • Support and advisor of event evaluation for the customer situation
  • Accountable for the turnaround time and quality of the 8D report towards the customer.
  • Coordinates with Category Specialist for proper support for complex devices (Aurix, NOR Flash, etc).

New business enabling with quality and safe launch

  • Participate in defining Quality Marketing content and customer rollout. Provide a value proposition enabling quality new business.
  • Have a clear understanding of new critical products and application launches at your customers. Apply applicable safe launch processes to enable a flawless product launch. Execution of the Customer Launch Support process.
  • For those customers with APQP process, facilitate and drive the quality elements related to the APQP to closure internally and with the customer.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, Physics, or similar
  • as well as the associated technical understanding.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in Quality Management, preferably in the automotive or semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with Automotive industry requirements like IATF16949, JEDEC, AEC and VDA.
  • Strong communication skills with Automotive Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.
  • Good knowledge of quality management methods, procedures, statistics, and tools.
  • (e.g., 8D and 5Why problem solving and Six Sigma).
  • Excellent in English and Spanish.
  • Occasional willingness to travel (within Mexico, the USA, and possibly Europe).
