Your role
As Corporate Internal Controls Manager (m/f/d) you will be part of our Corporate Controlling Team. Within your role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across the various Finance departments on Corporate and Regional level, Sales, Procurement, IT, HR, Sustainability and EHS. Besides, you will serve as the contact for the chartered accountants.One of your main tasks will be to monitor and ensure the effectiveness of Symrise's internal control systems to reduce fraud and errors and improve efficiency. In particular, you will evaluate existing control processes, identify weaknesses, implement improvements and conduct quality audits.
This requisition is a fulltime position to be located in our global headquarter in Holzminden, Germany.
- You represent our Global Governance Function - Approach & Methodology - for the Symrise Group Manual for Internal Control Systems and related Process Documentation.
- You are responsible for updating and documentation of the underlying process diagrams (BPMN flowcharts) as well as process risks and controls in the form of a risk control matrix (RCM) in colloboration with the relevant process owners and stakeholders.
- You oversee planning, organization and implementation of the annual test of design (ToD) and test of effectiveness (ToE) of the documented controls in colloboration with the relevant control owners.
- You follow-up on tracking and organization in terms of internal control findings and action plan to close identified gaps in colloboration with the relevant department and internal audit.
- You are responsible for planning & continuation of the global rollout of the Symrise standard set in relation to the internal control system.
About you
- You sucessfully completed your University degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Finance, Sustainability or a related field; advanced qualification as auditor or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are an advantage.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a related role in Finance, Sustainability or auditing, ideally in an international corporate environment.
- You have good knowledge of the set up of an internal control system and related process documentation within a matrix organization.
- You have professional proficiency in written and spoken English and German and ideally have a good command of another major language such as French.
- You are goal and solution oriented as well as prioritization abilities in a highly dynamic business environment.
- You have personal integrity, goal orientation, and the ability to set clear priorities in a dynamic environment.
