Your role
As VAT Manager Europe (m/f/d) you will be part of our Corporate Tax Department. You will be our internal VAT expert for our european group companies within the EAME region. This advertisement is a fulltime position to be located in our global headquater in Holzminden, Germany.
- You are our internal VAT expert for european group companies and prepare written guidelines on VAT.
- You support Corporate Tax and National Tax Germany with providing advice on VAT implications on new business operations and cross border contracts.
- You monitor changes to VAT legislation across Europe and provide advice on impact to the regional group companies.
- You oversee indirect tax activities from a compliance perspective, including review VAT returns, electronic filing and EC Sales List
- You report to the Tax Director for Global Tax Compliance and Reporting, but you also assist our Tax Director EAME and regional group companies with managing VAT audits in the European region.
- You ensure VAT processes are up to date in accordance with country regulations.
- You assist Global and Regional Process Owners on maintaining VAT processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness related to VAT.
About you
- You successfully completed your Bachelor or Masters Degree in Economics, Business Law or a similar field.
- You have 3-5 years’ experience working on EU VAT and sound knowledge of EU VAT legislation.
- You have very good knowledge of English and ideally have good command of another major language.
- You are willing to acquire or deepen SAP FI knowledge.
- You have a very well structured, independent working style and analytical thinking.
- You have a confident appearance, very good team working and communication skills.
