Your role

As Corporate non-financial (ESG) Controller (m/f/d) you will be part of our Corporate Controlling Team. Within your role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments on Corporate and Regional level like Finance, Sustainability, EHS, HR and Legal/Compliance. Besides, you will serve as the main point of contact for the chartered accountants. One of your main tasks will be to initially set up a non-financial controlling (ESG) on Symrise Group Level.

This requisition is a fulltime position to be located in our global headquarter in Holzminden, Germany.

• You represent our Global Governance Function - Approach & Methodology - non financial Controlling (ESG) on Symrise Group Level.
• You oversee conceptualization & development of a non-financial controlling on Symrise Group Level.
• You establish reporting channels and consolidate information from various internal stakeholders within the current ESG universe and conduct analysis to explain key development and impact drivers from a Group perspective.
• You prepare monthly and quarterly change analyses based on consolidated information from the ESG universe in the form of a report to serve the needs of the management.
• You monitore the relevant non-financial KPIs with regard to threats to targets and initiating appropriate countermeasures in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.
• You decide on support & management support for ad hoc analyses.
• You take ownership & administration of a relevant data collection platform within the ESG universe in close colloboration with the Sustainability department.

About you

• You sucessfully completed your University degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Finance, Sustainability or a related field; advanced qualification as auditor or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are an advantage.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a related role in Finance, Sustainability or auditing, ideally in an international corporate environment.
• You have knowledge of the set up of a non-financial controlling system within a matix organization.
• You have technical knowledge of CSRD with the underlying ESRS.
• You have professional proficiency in written and spoken English and German and ideally have a good command of another major language such as French.
• You are goal and solution oriented as well as prioritization abilities in a highly dynamic business environment.
• You have personal integrity, goal orientation, and the ability to set clear priorities in a dynamic environment.
