Job Overview

As a (Jr.) Sales Engineer at Carrier Marine & Offshore, you will play a key role in delivering tailored HVAC solutions for high-profile marine and offshore projects. From supplying centrifugal chillers for cruise ships to designing complete HVAC systems for offshore platforms, your work will help define energy-efficient and reliable systems on a global scale.

This customer-facing role combines technical expertise with commercial insight. You'll support the entire sales process—from handling Requests for Quotation (RFQs), to collaborating with Carrier and third-party factories, to providing consultative guidance to clients. You’ll work closely with a dynamic, international sales team and contribute directly to the growth of our equipment and systems portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical and commercial point of contact for customers, supporting the development of HVAC solutions tailored to project-specific needs.
• Evaluate RFQs and develop detailed technical and commercial proposals for marine and offshore HVAC systems.
• Work collaboratively with internal Carrier teams and external third-party factories to ensure optimal equipment selection and timely, accurate quotations.
• Act as a trusted consultant, guiding customers on product selection, system design, and implementation considerations.
• Support business development efforts and contribute to achieving sales targets in alignment with the broader international sales team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or HVAC-related role (entry-level candidates with relevant internships will be considered).
• Technical understanding of HVAC systems and their applications, preferably in marine or offshore environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally, as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC design standards and marine/offshore certification requirements (e.g., DNV, LR, ABS).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC design software.
• Experience with (heat load) calculations
