Internship Opportunity: AI Engineering internship – HP Worldwide Technical Regulations

Location: Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona

Duration: ~6 months (starting in October 2025)

Working Hours: 20–40 hours/week (negotiable)

Team: EMEA Technical Regulations (WTR) – Global Product Compliance & Sustainable Impact – Enterprise Operations

The Worldwide Technical Regulations (WTR) team at HP ensures that our products meet global regulatory requirements across domains such as Safety, EMC, Telecom, Energy Efficiency and Cybersecurity.

As part of HP’s Global Product Compliance & Sustainable Impact organization under Enterprise Operations, the WTR team plays a critical role in enabling safe, legal, and timely market access for HP’s innovations.

About the internship

HP is actively investing in AI to transform how we work, with initiatives ranging from AI-enhanced PCs to enterprise-wide enablement programs. The WTR team is embracing this transformation by integrating AI into our workflows, documentation, and decision-making processes. This internship supports that mission by analyzing the (upcoming) EU regulations on AI products and helping the team to adopt AI tools & practices in their day-to-day work.

We are therefore seeking a proactive and tech-savvy intern to join us as an AI Ambassador intern. This role is ideal for someone passionate about artificial intelligence and eager to help others unlock potential in a regulatory and technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze & share information on (upcoming) EU regulations on AI
  • Promote the awareness and use of AI tools across the WTR team
  • Deliver presentations and demos on practical AI use cases tailored to regulatory work
  • Organize and facilitate team training sessions, workshops, and best practice exchanges
  • Support team members in identifying and implementing AI-driven efficiencies
  • Create internal resources (guides, templates, FAQs) to support AI adoption
  • Collect feedback and success stories to refine enablement strategies
  • Collaborate with other AI champions and communities across HP

Knowledge and skills

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
  • Strong interest in AI, digital transformation, and emerging technologies
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment
  • Basic experience with AI tools
  • Fluency in English; other European languages are a bonus
