About the Role
The Daytime Operations & PACS Manager is a leadership role focused on developing and implementing Operations training and development programs at Booster. The Daytime Operations & PACS Manager will design, implement and maintain strategic programs/projects with emphasis on standardizing: onboarding, training, performance coaching, DOT compliance and auditing.
This role will also oversee the Performance and Coaching Specialist (PaCS) personnel company-wide and will be responsible for training and onboarding new members of the PaCS team.
The Daytime Operations & PACS Manager will focus on continuous improvement and maintaining of training standards and processes. This role will serve as a liaison between Field Operations, Human Resources and EHS; working collaboratively between departments to meet and exceed organizational goals.
What You’ll be Doing
- Develop and Manage the Performance and Coaching Specialist (PaCS) program.
- Onboard and train new PaCS team members.
- Design and develop content (job aids, SOPs, facilitator guides, work instructions, etc.) to execute the following programs:
- CDL Academy
- Terminals/Carding strategies
- Recurring Safety Training
- DOT Compliance
- Develop audit processes and workflows
- Oversee CDL Academy
- Tracking SPA1 onboarding, development and performance
- Regulatory compliance
- Create individual and program wide OKRs, KPIs and targets for PaCS
- Monitor, manage and report-out PaCS team progress and results
- Use root-cause analysis to identify areas for improvement in process and skill to support the development of Service Professionals and PACS across the company.
- Recommend solutions to key stakeholders based on needs assessment from root-cause analysis.
- Design, develop, and execute solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the Operations and People organizations to attain results.
- Use project management skills to prioritize and manage the execution of each program; communicate status and risks with senior leadership.
- Develop and oversee the onboarding & training programs for line level Operations employees.
- Lead performance management programs for line level Operations employees.
- Establish and Enforce new Operational and Safety standards.
- Partner with Operation and Safety and Compliance teams to develop new training content and expand the Lessonly library.
- Learning and Development: Operations, Employee Services and Safety to develop SOPs and execution strategies in line with annual organizational goals.
- Local Operations management and FTEs to coordinate training needs.
- Learning & Development to deliver ongoing and enterprise wide initiatives.
- Manage daytime Operations across all markets.
- Coordinate terminal carding & truck movements.
- Supervise daytime Service Professionals in all markets.
- Facilitate gallon recovery.
- Facilitate customer handoff calls
- Communicate partials, misses, lates with the CSM team
- Share operational challenges
- Work with CSMs to update vehicle list
- Finalize routing ahead of night shift (Late updates, tanker changes)
- Scheduled Attendance Mgmt
- Flexing up/down SPs
- Editing/updating routes due to call-outs
Metrics and KPIs
- Increase CDL Academy throughput
- Reduce graduation times and retests.
- Increase Terminal Carding %
- Decrease time to first terminal card.
- Increase time to productivity
- The goals of this position are to reduce early attrition, improve time to productivity and ensure new Supervisors, Service Professionals and Apprentices have high quality process and safety training.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000 plus Booster Equity
