The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) creates world-leading grade control and automation products for customers in the paving, construction, landfill, and mining industries. Our products make operators of heavy equipment more productive, whether they’re working on a landscaping job in someone’s backyard, levelling a section for a house, building a subdivision or highway, or operating an 800-tonne excavator on a mine site.
Central to our success is accurate positioning. We utilise the latest in technology from our in-house developed positioning technologies utilising IMU, GNSS, Laser, Optical and Sonic sensors, and some tech we can’t even talk about yet, to empower machine operators with clear and accurate guidance. In many cases we automate functions of the machine, so the operator can concentrate on other tasks.

As an Application Specialist Intern at CTCT, you will work as an integral member of one of our software development teams and our wider testing team, developing our Grade Control and Automation product. This position is for working over the summer period, November to February.
Your team is a forward-thinking group, working collaboratively to transform the world through the application of cutting-edge technology.
You will be involved in the development cycles of software, through component and systems development, testing, reporting of issues, and highlighting areas of improvement. You will get many opportunities to apply your curiosity, organization and problem solving skills to this role.
