The South Dakota Board of Regents has a full-time and benefit-eligible opportunity for a “data enthusiast” to join our team as a Program/Fiscal Analyst in Pierre. This position serves as a paraprofessional in accounting, budgeting, and financial matters. The role also involves assisting program professionals by implementing activities based on established processes and interpreting program-specific guidelines to provide answers and advice on specific issues or concerns. The ideal candidate will perform skilled support tasks involving applying principles to manage accounts payable and procurement operations and related financial transactions, and coordinate projects and program processes for the Finance and Administration department that serves South Dakota’s six public universities.
Experience:
An associate’s degree in accounting, economics, financial management, or a related field is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. One to three years of experience as an accounting clerk and general knowledge of accounting practices is preferred.
Alternative combinations of experience and education that fulfill the minimum requirements may be accepted, including experience with Microsoft Office products and accounting software applications. Candidates must exhibit strong writing skills when preparing accounting reports and meeting materials.
