Position Summary
Responsible for assisting the medical and hospital staffs in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective on-going system to evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of patient care processes. Responsible for cardiology data collection, accurate input of data into relevant systems and submission of data to applicable databases. Serve as an educator and resource to staff and physicians regarding quality initiatives.

Standard Work Duties: Cardiology Quality Data Coordinator
- Work collaboratively with the Inventory Material Coordinator as needed to identify or resolve any issues with the supplies and/or inventory items that are needed for the American College of Cardiology (ACC) data collection.
- Provides guidance to: management, physicians, and staff, providing educational information about the ACC Data Collection requirements and expectations.
- Maintains current knowledge of ACC registry requirements
- Maintain a current list of the Cath/PCI, ICD, Watchman, Mitra Clip, and Carotid Stenting, and TAVR patients from the hemodynamic system for the identification of patients requiring entry into to the ACC registries
- Performs daily chart abstraction on all patients meeting ACC requirements with the goal to be concurrent
- Ensure that Cath Lab and Cath Lab Recovery staff is documenting the case data appropriately in the hemodynamic system which includes all of the ACC data elements.
- Validate and Harvest Data in the ACC Module and submit to the ACC Registry prior to data submission deadlines each quarter.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and assisting IS liaison and any other vendors, to resolve system issues with the hemodynamic system and ACC Module to ensure that all systems are interfacing properly.
- Responsible for participating and troubleshooting tests on all software upgrades and patches for the hemodynamic system and ACC Module prior to going live in the production systems.
- Compile, analyze and present accurate data to physicians at the Cardiology Department meetings and other meetings as requested. Develop competency check lists and assist with validation of staff competency.

Licenses Essential: Current FL RN license or registry in field of expertise.

Experience Preferred: Two to three years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab nursing.
