Job Overview
This internship offers a chance to develop skills as a front-end developer while contributing to platforms that serve churches and ministries. You will help with my.lifeway.com and ministrygrid.com by developing front-end features and fixing bugs, collaborating with development teams on key projects.
Internship Program Details & Requirements
- Compensation: Lifeway’s summer internship program offers a competitive hourly pay rate, and all necessary equipment is provided.
- Work Schedule: Interns work an average of 32 hours per week, with core workdays from Tuesday to Thursday. The expectation is that the internship is the primary focus during working hours.
- Program Duration: June 2 - August 14, 2025 (11 weeks). Interns must commit to participating in the entire program.
- Eligibility: Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and have completed at least two years of study by the internship start date. Recent graduates (December 2024 or May 2025) are also eligible.
- Development Opportunities: Weekly professional development sessions are provided, including specialized training, mentorship, and leadership development.
- Remote Structure: This is a remote position in the U.S., with required in-person attendance for orientation (June 2 - 5, 2025) and end-of-summer presentations (August 11-14, 2025) in Nashville. Travel costs for these events are covered by Lifeway.
- Application Deadline: Applications are due by December 31, with interviews beginning as soon as possible. Selections are finalized by April 1.

Qualifications
Education
Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, required
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church
Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, preferred
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with Agile workflows.
