About the Role

As a Summer Research Scientist Intern, you'll be at the forefront of DNA and protein sequencing innovation. You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, such as optimising motor proteins or pore structures to enhance DNA sequencing accuracy or developing novel protein sequencing applications to unravel the mysteries of the proteome. 

You'll gain hands-on experience in a range of techniques, from molecular biology to bioinformatics, and collaborate with world-class scientists to push the boundaries of genomic research.

Eligibility 

  • You will be looking for an authentic and structured intern experience and ideally, be on-course to achieve at least a 2.1 degree in a Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Genetics) at a leading university 
  • Successful candidates will be available to accept a minimum 3-month placement, commencing from spring/summer 2025. Specific dates will be discussed at interview. 
  • All roles require the intern to work full time hours for the duration of the placement, and be present in our Oxford HQ, on Oxford Science Park
