Location: Paris

This internship role is part of our Commercial Partnership, Europe department. As an intern in this department, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge audio and visual technologies, gaining hands-on experience in the entertainment technology industry with a focus on commercial partnerships in Europe. You will be exposed to various aspects of Dolby's business, from product development to customer support and partnership management, and will have the chance to contribute to real-world projects that impact how people experience entertainment across Europe.

Job Functions

Technology and design-in Support

  • Technology Exploration - Learn about Dolby's technical products and technologies - Assist in research and development projects - Participate in internal training sessions
  • Product Development
  • Help test and evaluate new products and features
  • Contribute to improving existing products
  • Collaborate with engineering teams

Lab Activities

  • Get familiar with the lab activities required for licensing support
  • Identify gaps and define and design areas of improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration with the Lab management team

Requirements

  • Strong interest in consumer electronics and audio/video technology
  • Basic understanding of electroacoustic design principles and measurement tools
  • Good presentation skills and ability to explain technical concepts
  • Strong interest in music, video, or gaming
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly

Nice to have skills

  • Familiarity with audio components such as transducers and amplifiers is a plus
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C++) are desirable
  • Basic understanding of OTT/VOD and broadcast standards, formats, and workflows is beneficial
  • Knowledge of other European languages is a plus

Eligibility

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Available to do 4-6 months full-time internship with Univeristy cooporation starting in March 2025

No prior work experience is required, but any relevant projects, coursework, or internships in related fields will be viewed favorably.
