Job Description
We are looking for a new colleague Design Engineer for our R&D team, Wind Power BU, Division Industrial Technology AP at our location of Tianjin.
Your Tasks
- Purpose of this Job Role is to design a mechanical system with the following main tasks like: Manage requirements; Design a assembly or component; Run tolerance studies; Define BOM; Support production; Define design standards; Coordinate with suppliers.
- FEA calculation including static, fatigue and fracture mechanics for structure components.
- Topology optimization for components.
- Optimize the casting part design: Design to process, Design to cost, Design to manufacturability [Co-engineering].
- Working with casting suppliers to optimize the cost, process and manufacturing.
- Identify the product risk, carryout needed calculations for risk assessment and guide the design optimizations.
- Create the calculation reports for internal purposes and certification.
Your Profile
- Education level: Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent major with similar education background.
- Casting process and component manufacturing experiences, has the knowledge of casting material properties and manufacturing process.
- Minimum 4 FEA years experiences in Wind turbine industry, has drive train and gearbox experiences are preferred.
- Wind turbine drive train / gearbox design experiences, Load analysis experiences/skills.
- Fluent English and Local Language Chinese both in oral and in written.
