As a Hardware Engineering Intern, you will assist a hardware team that is responsible for developing and maintaining the hardware platforms for Automation products.

A typical day as a Hardware Engineering Intern might include:

  • Supporting hardware circuit design which involves using CAD tools for analysis and simulation as well as prototyping in the hardware lab.
  • Testing and debug of circuits in the hardware lab.
  • Product sustaining activities such as selection and qualification of alternate components.
  • General collaboration with a hardware team.

This job might be for you if:

  • You are currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • You are able to work part time during the school year and/or full time during the summer.
  • You have working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • You have an ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • You have a strong desire to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • You have background check results satisfactory to SEL.
  • You have negative drug test result(s).

Pay Range Data

($17.00 - $26.50 per hour) Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
