We are looking for an Azipod® Condition Monitoring Engineer at ABB Oy, Marine & Ports Division, Digital Services business. This role can be in either Helsinki or Turku. Azipod® propulsion is a gearless steerable propulsion system where the electric drive motor is in a submerged pod outside the ship hull. Azipod® units can rotate 360 degrees to increase maneuverability and operating efficiency. Our culture and benefits reflect our values: courage, care, curiosity and collaboration. Your responsibilities

  • Executing Condition Monitoring services for the Azipod® propulsion systems
  • Having a close communication line with several end users of Azipod® equipped vessels
  • Collecting and analyzing condition monitoring related data
  • Supporting digital service development

Your background

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Proven experience in collecting and analyzing data and setting up reporting as per customer promise
  • Proven experience working independently and using data collecting and data analyzing tools
  • Strong focus on customer orientation and quality
  • Excellent communication skills, good written and spoken English skills. Finnish is an advantage
  • Ideally, you also have knowledge of condition monitoring, propulsion systems, tribology, reliability engineering, experience in the marine industry
  • Valid working permit in Finland
