Job Summary

The Design Quality Assurance and Methodology Engineering role is a critical member of the NPI/IP development team and has direct impact on the product performance and its long-term reliability. The role is highly valued by our internal and external customers and partners. In addition, the person in this role will help analyze past history and determine a quality strategy and plan for the continuous development of robust quality designed products consistent with customer requirements, government regulations and established industry standards. This person will also develop and apply software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Enhance and develop quality processes to improve IC design quality of First Time Right
  • Drive and advise project leaders and teams in IC development in the application of NXP organizational processes and international standardized processes
  • Create interactive dashboards to support IC team goals and initiatives
  • Consult and facilitate in the area of Process and Design Quality Assurance 
  • Challenge quality expectation in projects and alert on deviations 
  • Perform and Report of audit/assessment results to the project teams and managers 

Job Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of related industry experience
  • Ability to work in a global project organization with project team distributed internationally
  • Capable of motivating and influencing others, sustaining high energy and a positive attitude even in the face of stiff challenges and adversity 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely to various teams within and across the global divisions to effectively drive alignment across functions
  • Be Result Oriented. Focus required on achieving aligned end goals
  • Knowledge in (IC) development
  • Knowledge in Python and PowerBI
  • Direct experience development in design, verification, physical design a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Detail oriented person with proactive working style

Education

  • Bachelor/Master in physics, electrical engineering or electronics (preferred) or technical university degree required.
