We are looking for our new colleague with a deep knowledge of electrical, mechatronic and software architectures.

As Senior Electrical System Engineer you will be part of a team focusing on the hardware development for radiotherapy treatment machines. Our aim is to provide customers highly integrated cutting-edge solutions with outstanding systems reliability. We closely collaborate with other engineering locations of Varian, mainly at our R&D site in Budapest, Hungary and Palo Alto, California.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Takes responsibility for technical coordination of radiotherapy treatment components.
  • Contributes to systems related designs, provides specification and evaluates parts.
  • Constructs systems architecture defines electrical and mechatronic sub-components and cabling.
  • Defines manufacturing and servicing related processes.
  • Collaborates with local team members, as well as colleagues in neighboring teams and sites.
  • Liaisons with external stakeholders, suppliers, project and product managers.
  • Prototype test planning, execution and reporting.
  • Documentation in technical drawings, BOMs, design reviews, design descriptions.

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Motivated to learn new fields of technical expertise determined by project need.
  • Experience with medical device related developments is an advantage.
  • Typical Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of related experience or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree with 3 years of related experience.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
