Will be responsible for a variety of activities related to daily auditing of payroll for employees and consultants working nationwide for a semi-monthly payroll.

This includes but is not limited to:

Responsible for ensuring that payroll records are accurate and complete,

Perform audits to ensure that the company is following all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, including tax withholding and reporting requirements.

Pull reports from multiple reporting systems and confirm the following with internal staff:

New hires dates

Project end dates

Market changes

Pay rate and per diem changes.

Reporting discrepancies to management

Ensuring discrepancies are updated/ corrected in a timely manner.

Manage and reply to large number of emails for the payroll department.

Assist with processing of payroll, assist with reporting, and research payroll inquiries, while maintaining the confidentiality of payroll information

Send payroll reminders and announcements.

Recruiting

Sales

HR

Qualification:

  • Associate degree in Finance or Accounting, or related field and 6 months to 1 year of recent work experience in Payroll, administrative assistant, customer service, or related field.
  • Attention to detail and follow-up, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple and competing priorities.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team in a high-paced and at times stressful environment, which has tight deadlines.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in written format with GTA employees, consultants, and management staff. 
  • Self-starter, takes ownership of tasks and demonstrates a high level of responsibility.
  • Payroll software (ADP, Paychex, Paycom, etc.) experience a plus.
