Sales Development Intern:

Are you looking to grow your sales career in the tech industry? PROS is growing rapidly and is seeking highly motivated, high energy Sales Development interns to join our team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). The SDR role is one of the most sought out entry points into sales in the exciting world of tech. 

The PROS Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship designed to provide challenging, hands-on work experience. You will be assigned both individual and team projects that will make a direct impact on the company. This will further develop your ability to problem solve and communicate. In addition, interns will be provided ample learning opportunities, interaction with business leaders and engaging intern events. You will receive a mentor that provides frequent feedback on projects while helping you to build technical, analytical and leadership skills. We are looking for students who are self-driven and ready to take on stimulating projects. The program is a hybrid work model, interns selected will be coming into our Houston Office as least twice a week.

The Sales Development Representative Intern (SDR) will work closely with EAMs by discovering, nurturing, and managing early-mid stage funnel and the development of key influencer relationships who make up the buying group at a target account. They will work on inbound marketing inquiries and outbound target accounts to nurture and develop leads to high pipeline sales opportunities that are ready for active sales executive involvement. The SDR team is uniquely positioned within the Marketing department at the intersection between Marketing and Sales. There are multiple career paths for this role within PROS with a direct path into Field Sales as well as paths to Marketing, Professional Services, Customer Success, and others.

  • Explore and provide ways to improve our social media engagement 
  • Help deliver our brand message to customers and prospects via phone, e-mail, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram 

A qualified candidate is: 

  • Pursuing an academic education at an institution of higher learning 
  • Interested in pursuing a career in Technology, Sales Development, Sales or Marketing 
  • A leader with outstanding leadership experience 
  • Detailed oriented with organizational and analytical skills 
  • Strong in written and verbal communication 

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with the Sales Development team to nurture prospects through the sales process 
  • Partner with sales to conduct prospect generating activities including ABM outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn InMail messages, video messages and PowerPoint presentations 
  • Assist in the content creation process (including branded collateral and follow-up materials as needed) 
  • Participate in call and e-mail campaigns to drive attendance to local and regional events 
  • Leverage our sales technology and marketing tools to personalize and tailor outreach to generate new sales opportunities 
  • Qualify accounts, identify prospect's needs, challenges and initiatives and suggest appropriate software solutions 
  • Strive to continuously improve the SDR and sales process 
  • Being a hands-on team member
