Master internship - Semantic communications and computation for Metaverse

Join us as an intern at Nokia Bell Labs, where you'll delve into the cutting-edge realm of semantic and effective communications and computation within the Metaverse.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be the modeling and simulating the end-to-end communication processes in the Metaverse, also contributing to the development and implementation of semantic communications algorithms. You will join a team of highly experienced research scientists and engineers. You are expected to work independently (but always being supported when needed) under the supervision of our international experts on a specifically assigned topic. You will work full time for a period of six months.

REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for a Master student with the following qualifications.

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI/ML development such as Python, and in machine learning platforms such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including deep learning and reinforcement learning.

Additional desired qualifications:

  • Familiarity with mobile communications is a plus.

Personal attributes:

  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.

This internship can be part of a Master’s thesis.

Location: Antwerp (Belgium) 

Please note that we are looking for a Master student living in Belgium (no relocation sponsoring possible) and that this is a non remunerated internship.
