As an ASIC Design Engineer - IC Tool Flow Specialist, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will manage and develop our IC tool flow for both frontend and backend, ensuring that our IC flows are productive and scalable. By working closely with our team of highly skilled ASIC design and verification engineers, you will take our tool flow to the next level, enhancing our capabilities and maintaining our leadership in the industry.

You will join a team of highly skilled ASIC design engineers dedicated to designing the chipset for future generations of hearing aids. Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Take responsibility for maintaining and developing the Synopsys based IC tool flow.
  • Collaborate closely with designers to understand requirements and develop flows that meet their needs while being robust, scalable and easy to maintain.
  • Analyze current flows and devise strategies for improvement and future development.
  • Properly document IC tool flows to enhance ease-of-use and minimize support efforts.
  • Plan and prioritize the IC tool work in close collaboration with IC management.

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you:

  • Have a strong foundation in Python, preferably with an emphasis on Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Possess experience with Make, TCL, Bash/Shell scripting in Linux, and flow automation in Gitlab (CI/CD).
  • Understand software architecture and scalability, including the reuse of flows and tools across projects.
  • Experience with the Synopsys frontend / backend tools chain (e.g. VCS, Design Compiler, SpyGlass).
  • Are an experienced Linux user.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
