Why do we need you ?

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the Reliability Pillar of the World Class Manufacturing System (WCM). This role supports various programs like Preventive Maintenance, CMMS, EHS support, along with continuous improvement programs. This role will lead engineering projects as required and work closely with the engineering department in completing capital projects. This role's areas of responsibility encompass equipment, facilities and building maintenance, utilities, environmental control systems, power distribution systems, and the grounds maintenance; this also includes working closely with procurement on vendor/contractor management for the related areas as well as working with Health, Safety, and Environmental leadership on compliance management for the related areas.

Use multidisciplinary approach to solving problems, improving processes, and managing projects.

Plant Support

  • Analyze data and trends from the plant CMMS system, including WCM reporting and KPI tracking
  • Support of daily operations as needed in home plant with regard to all plant and process equipment
  • Facility wide responsibility for risk management
  • Design and implementation of projects and activities pertaining to plant infrastructure and utilities (electrical, water, access control, plant air, RO water.)
  • Assist the maintenance group with high level troubleshooting of equipment and processes
  • Recommends, modify or update equipment as needed to improve reliability and productivity

Equipment and Process Improvements

  • Designing and implementing site projects as related to process improvement.
  • Design, specify, purchase and install various production equipment including layouts and planning of production areas
  • Design and implement modifications and improvements to equipment as needed

Project Management for Capital Expenditures

  • Work closely with the Reliability and Engineering teams
  • Work with external engineering firms to design and construct buildings, equipment, and processes
  • Work with internal and contract personnel in the execution of projects
  • Work with Procurement for equipment acquisition
  • Track KPIs and manage to meet project and business objectives
  • Communicate as appropriate inside and outside the company

Ideation

  • Works with senior and fellow engineers to develop alternatives and options for further development of projects and products
  • Create new ways of performing work
  • Challenge status quo

Is this job for you ?

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering - REQUIRED
  • Masters Degree in Engineering or Business Administration - PREFERRED
  • AutoCad including 3D - REQUIRED
  • Project Management - REQUIRED
  • Problem Solving/Analysis - REQUIRED
  • Leadership - REQUIRED
  • Communication and presentation - REQUIRED
  • Material Handling - REQUIRED
  • Building and Industrial codes (NEC, NFPA…..) - PREFERRED
  • Industrial Automation (PLCs, HMI, SCADA…..) - PREFERRED
