EnerVenue is looking for a Technical Writer with a technical background who is highly organized, detail oriented and a great communicator. This position is based out of Fremont, CA and will support our growing Product Engineering organization. The Product Engineering group is responsible for designing, testing, and certifying energy storage systems around EnerVenue’s core battery technology that include but are not limited to our in-house BMS (hardware and software), racking architecture, and thermal management solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with various specialized teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of EnerVenue’s product and its internal and external documentation requirements
  • Produce high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Produce and organize certification documentation packages
  • Prepare customer facing instruction/installation manuals
  • Generate preliminary work instructions supporting NPI efforts
  • Support generating and maintaining product and engineering requirements documents
  • Maintain and manage document control for both internal and external facing documents
  • Create and maintain an information/documentation repository
  • Analyze and update existing documentation

Requirements/Skills:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in writing technical documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality technical documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to interpret technical data/graphs/charts
  • Ability to work and adapt within an exciting and fast paced working environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent preferred
  • Familiarity with UL/CE certifications
  • Ability to read certification literature and generate appropriate documentation
  • Experience working in renewables and/or energy storage industries
  • Experience with Propel PLM and Asana Project Management tools

Salary Range:

$87,000-$117,000
