Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to contribute to the design and development of electrical systems and components.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide innovative ideas for solving engineering challenges.
  • Support the testing and validation processes for electrical systems.
  • Assist in creating and executing test plans to ensure their reliability and performance of meters.
  • Utilize CAD tools and other software for schematic design and layout.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of designs, test results, and project process.
  • Create reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Mechanical Engineers and other Interns.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project goals, timelines, and challenges.
  • Conduct research to support engineer decision making and improve project outcomes.
  • Assistant identifying and resolving technical issues during the development and testing phases.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and find solutions to problems.

Preferred Requirements 

  • Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in Electrical Engineering and having completed at least the freshman year.
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
  • Will be interacting with production, maintenance, vendors, contractors, management, and engineering.
  • Experience with PCB design and layout.
  • Programming skills (e.g., C, Python) for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Occasionally involved in presentations and providing training for plant personnel.
  • Must have good problem solving skills both from a troubleshooting and project planning standpoint.
