The Position

Job purposes/Job summary 

Lab Consultants integrate data, resources to provide value-based scenarios and drive the collaboration across functional teams to help enable better healthcare outcomes and improvement of patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Play an expert role on consulting clinical labs by assessing the current state and creating optimized solution proposals, including but not limit to, product portfolios of Roche and beyond; site survey and workflow study for lean lab layout, workload analysis and data simulation in order to meet and exceed customer’s expected KPIs and satisfaction.
  • Align on final proposal, prepare project implementation plans and present to customer after internal performance evaluation and approval.
  • Conduct solution optimization through performance monitoring and scenario simulation, support on continuous improvement via periodically insightful report.
  • Address different levels of complexity supporting the lab’s strategic goals and helping understand the value brought by Roche systems and solutions.
  • Continuously look for areas of improvement or optimization in terms of lab workflows and processes, giving new perspectives to customers, helping identify and interpret opportunities.
  • Deliver knowledge of relevant lab quality management and improvement through Lean concept and Six Sigma methodology implementation.
  • Capture the customer’s vision and desired value to design a holistic solution heading to a long-term partnership.

Who you are

Education and Qualification: 

Must be required:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Science/Health/Medical Laboratory Technology/Biomedical Engineering disciplines.
  • At least 2 years of experience in diagnostics/ healthcare industry.

Nice to have

  • Healthcare Lean or Six Sigma certification
  • Good record in lab project or health care related project
  • Work in lab workflow, sales, marketing, project management would be a plus.

  • Strong technical skill (understand Roche and competitors’ products, solution and lab operation, quality management, etc…)
  • Methodology and scientific approach
  • Good listening, persuasive skill
