Lead Hardware Verification Engineer

Sonos

At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

Sonos began with a mission: to realize the potential of technology to help the world listen better. To make listening easier, more immersive, more rewarding; to bring people together to share experience, and better our lives. This is the reason behind everything we do.

At Sonos, the listener always comes first. Systems are simple to set-up, use and fine-tune. We’re building bridges, expanding our platform, forging new partnerships, and pushing the limits of what’s possible.

Sonos Headphone Business Unit (HBU) develops wearable audio products by using Joint Development Manufacturers (JDMs) to share in the design effort and to carry out all Hardware Verification (HWV) testing.

As a Hardware Verification Lead in the HBU you will be Sonos' "eyes and ears" in the JDM organization, responsible for ensuring that Hardware Verification carried out by the JDM meets Sonos standards for performance and reliability. This will include reviewing and critiquing JDM plans and procedures, as well as helping to develop new procedures. You will involve yourself in diagnosing and debugging test failures, working with JDM engineers to resolve their shortcomings, and to ensure the fidelity and good documentation of test results.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Hardware Verification of in-ear audio products, such as true-wireless (TWS) Bluetooth earbuds or other small in-ear audio devices.

Join us if you are passionate about a variety of technologies, integrated complex systems or interested in exploring program management skills.

  • Represent Sonos interests in the verification schedule, test status, test result documentation, defects reporting, and failure analysis.
  • Drive end to end verification activities including root causes analysis, DoE, solution verification, and issue closure.
  • Develop and implement automatic test methodologies.
  • Train JDM HWV engineers in proper execution of HWV tests as-needed.
