Job Description

The Engineer In Training (EIT) program is an entry-level program for engineers and technicians to learn core Rockwell Automation product technologies and to develop fundamental engineering skills to support our customers. The program includes a combination of formal classroom training and work assignments to give engineers and technicians hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation's products and technologies. Training focuses on both technical and leadership competencies. The program will consist of up to 15 weeks of core classroom training in Mayfield Heights, OH before deployment into the technician role onsite in Richland Center, WI and reporting to the Engineering Team Lead.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering activities such as CAD design and mechanical layouts, test, and modifying applications to Drives, PLCs and monitoring systems.
  • Help determine the hardware configuration used on the project.
  • Review system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software.
  • Work with engineering regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED and Technical School Work or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in electrical design, with emphasis in schematics and panel layout generation.
  • Ability to design using ACAD electrical.
  • Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
