What's the role?

In Corporate Development, you will lead a workstream of one of Hilti’s key strategic projects. In this role, you will be working alongside a former strategy consulting project manager (ex-MBB). As such, you will also have substantial visibility to Hilti’s senior management team including executive board members and the opportunity to position yourself for a full-time career at Hilti.

Who is Hilti?

For the sixth time in the past 11 years, Hilti has been named one of the best employers by Great Place to Work.

What began as a family business in 1941, founded by brothers Eugene and Martin Hilti, has become a leading industry player with over 120 locations worldwide and a workforce of more than 33,000 colleagues. Our incredible journey, from humble beginnings to a global powerhouse, is a shining example of the rewards of a hard-working and dedicated team.

At Hilti, we provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software, and services for the global construction industry and beyond. Our purpose is making construction better based on a passionate and inclusive global team and a caring and performance-oriented culture.

We invest a substantial amount of our annual profit to the Hilti Foundation, which focuses on initiatives that empower people to live independently and autonomously, contribute to building stronger societies, and create networks of competent partners to achieve sustainable and scalable impact.

What does the role involve?

You will be a full member of a small high-profile team that drives the company strategy and strategic engagements. You will receive day to day direction from a Corporate Development Manager and work closely with our experts to drive a workstream of one or more of our strategic projects. Thus, you will work in a strategy consulting mindset, atmosphere, and with people who have done strategy consulting successfully, but in a corporate setting. In this role, you will also have significant exposure to the Senior Vice President who leads the area.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Interview experts and stakeholders to identify issues and form hypotheses on solutions
  • Conduct analyses to test the hypotheses based on research and data collection
  • Evaluate strategic options and recommend the way forward
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and to make relevant decisions
  • Identify key success factors and develop a roadmap for implementation.

Examples of strategic projects that we work on are innovative business models, 10-year strategic plan implementation, Industry 4.0, M&A opportunities, regional and business strategies, market entry opportunities, etc.

Here is what our intern Krishank says about his role:

“Starting an internship at Hilti’s Corporate Development was a great decision: Working on projects that shape Hilti's future means you get to make a meaningful impact even in a short period of time. The highlight for me, though, was the rapid learning curve from working in a diverse team of former strategy consultants in a collaborative & supportive environment, which exemplifies Hilti's people culture.”

What do we offer?

Joining more than 2100 colleagues from over 70 nationalities at one of our headquarters locations in Schaan, Nendeln, or Buchs is more than a career move. It’s your opportunity to enjoy the energizing, alpine lifestyle - where Liechtenstein, Austria, and Switzerland seamlessly meet.

Additional benefits of our headquarters location include shared e-bikes for your commute, an on-site gym, three restaurants, language courses, learning and development training opportunities, tax insurance, financial guidance, child care, relocation and spousal support, and more.

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of work experience (incl. longer internships)
