Business Unit/Role Specific Info 

Global Advertising & Brand Management (GABM) builds worldwide demand for American Express, driving business through innovative marketing, messaging, partnerships, and experiences. Teams within the group cover Brand management and planning, Brand Strategy, Brand Training, Enablement & Governance, Global Media, Brand Content & Communications, Global Experiential Marketing, Digital Brand Capabilities and Amex Insights (responsible for bringing the voice of the customer and driven context to business decisions made across the corporation).

General Role / Responsibility

What you'll do: 

  • Play active role in leading end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of marketing communications for card products, new and emerging digital products, services and/or technology platforms 
  • Analyze data and translate into relevant consumer insights to help drive innovative, customer-centric marketing strategies. Identify ways to bring exciting marketing ideas to the forefront, influence key business collaborators and ultimately encourage the organization to bring powerful concepts to life in exciting new ways 
  • Define the product / feature roadmap for how best to enhance our products and services 
  • Leverage internal data from web analytics tools and “voice of customer” surveys to define new customer experiences 
  • Initiate and leverage customer insights through analysis and research with customers and prospects 
  • Develop credibility and manage strong two-way working relationships with cross-functional teams as well as external suppliers, agency and media partners 
  • Ensure flawless program execution and delivery 

Education / Experience 

  • Proven experience 
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree 
  • Students are required to have a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Ability to work and lead others in a fast-paced environment with ambitious priorities 
  • A track record for building and managing strong relationships across diverse group of partners 
  • Passion for customer marketing, payments innovation, the travel industry and new technology trends 
  • Ability to conceptualize and sell ideas 
  • Entrepreneurial problem solver who’s organized, has great attention to detail, and can multi-task 
  • Ability to balance the big picture with a micro-outlook 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving/quantitative skills coupled with unique thinking abilities 
  • Passion for emerging media trends and digital channels 
  • Excellent project/program management, organizational and process/workflow skills 
  • Proficiency in analytical and presentation tools, including Excel and PowerPoint 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience writing marketing briefs and delivering global marketing plans 
  • Agency experience in media or communications planning, with expertise in paid social, search and digital channels, including programmatic 
  • Understanding of both Qualitative and Quantitative research methodologies and possess the ability to apply insights to address business challenges. 

Salary Range: $38.45 to $87.00 hourly + sign-on bonus

The above represents the expected hourly pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
