This Position reports to:

R&D Team Lead

In this role, for an internship, we are looking for a Test Engineer. The selected candidate will perform verification and explorative tests on new products under development.

This activity should be done with special attention and analysis capabilities to bring a constructive and active contribution to the development of the new products and requires collaboration with the HW, FW, and SW developers.

The tests are conducted in an R&D laboratory with dedicated equipment (e.g., voltage/current generators) and with the proper SW tools.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Energy Distribution business line within Smart Building division, who will join the Global R&D Electronic pre-compliance Testing Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing test cases for verification and pre-compliance, executing tests, and reporting results to the development team.
  • Working closely with the development team to troubleshoot HW, FW, and SW issues, while tracking results using structured tools (e.g. DevOps).
  • Focusing on automated test execution, enhancing existing techniques, and leveraging new equipment for test optimization.
  • Staying up to date with technologies, sharing expertise, and supporting colleagues in applying tools and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree (Science/Engineering) in Electronics or Software Domains completed or ongoing.
  • Experience in Electronic/Computer Engineering, working/studying preferably as SW developer/Test Engineer with Networks and Electronic products.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering and basic knowledge of electrical measuring instruments (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope) and knowledge of C#, LabView, Python and GIT.
  • Proactivity, teamwork skills, problem solving, result orientation and a solution-focused approach, good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good written/spoken English. Written/spoken Italian is a plus.
