Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products develops, produces, sells, delivers and services products and solutions to enable industrial and energy customers to operate more efficiently and profitably. We are dedicated to serving our customers with the best digitally enabled solutions to meet their needs quickly and reliably, while providing the support of a global service network. You'll be a key member of the Supply Chain Management team within the Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products Business Line in Zürich Oerlikon. Reporting to the supply chain manager, you will provide assistance to the company as a whole by ensuring that all procurement activities comply with the policies and procedures of the company.

Your responsibilities

• Personnel and functional management of the operational procurement department (approx. 10 employees)
• Functional responsibility of SSC (shared service center) operational buyers
• Procurement of production materials, production resources and services
• Optimization of operational procurement processes and further development of systems
• Recognition and realization of continuous cost reductions under consideration of the procurement strategy
• Process monitoring based on statistical key figures and initiation of necessary measures
• Structured supplier support and maintenance in day-to-day business
• Preparation and communication of the annual supplier evaluation
• Conducting purchasing negotiations and concluding framework agreements
• Demand-oriented and inventory-optimized material planning and procurement including master data maintenance
• Collaboration on technical customer inquiries (evaluation and selection of suppliers according to specifications commodity management)

Your background

• Basic technical training in the industry and corresponding higher education in purchasing /Supply chain and/or purchasing manager
• Several years of proven leadership experience in a purchasing organization in the areas of disposition/ planning / operational procurement and supplier management as well as in procurement processes
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Networked thinking and acting, analytical skills
• Experienced IT knowledge
• Negotiation skills, assertiveness and ability to work under pressure
• Team player and communicative- Good German and English skills
