What we're looking for:

Are you a graduate student who is looking for new opportunities in the fast-paced and innovative world of Software-as-a-Service and digital workspaces? Citrix Workspace product marketing is an excellent way to apply your education to tackle new product launches, promotions and programs. Throughout 2020, Product Marketing will be working with cross-functional to address the target market and design a product that captures the right use cases to grow and influence and the market. This requires an insightful and diverse team to stay ahead of competition and focus on the needs of the customers.

This internship will be involved in driving the go-to-market strategy for individual product launches of our billion-dollar Citrix Workspace solutions. In this collaborative environment you will be asked to develop relationships and create product collateral to support the marketing, sales, services, third party alliances and back office systems within Citrix. You will also develop and deliver customer and partner facing product information to evangelize our product strategy, use cases, and features to our large customer base and channel. At Citrix, we expect product marketing to have hands on experience installing, configuring and using our products, so you will be given training opportunities to become certified in Citrix technologies.

In the continued evolution of Workspace, Product Marketing’s role is dynamic:

  • We are constantly refining positioning right up to launch to enable us to be most successful as this dynamic space continues to evolve.
  • As the product continues to change, Product Marketing needs to track and execute updates to material as well as ancillary teams.
  • Citrix’s focus on transforming the employee experience requires cross-functional coordination across groups to provide the best experience for our customers.

  • On-the-ground experience supporting a major Tier 1 product into the marketplace
  • Support for post-event execution of new features
  • Tactical marketing project work
  • Experience with messaging and content creation

Sample of Project Work Outline:

  • Content creation for blog articles, industry papers, paid media
  • Tactical work to update content repositories on SalesIQ for PowerPoint decks, sales sheets, and related collateral
  • Sort through research data to compile data points for marketing use.
  • Marketing positioning work on target segment demographics including IT Admin, HR, employee communications, and additional new buyer segments

Primary responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leveraging customer needs, competitive knowledge and product expertise to drive the relevant business and marketing planning.
  • Understands, orchestrates, and influences customer campaigns and marketing activities, develops integrated marketing campaigns, and delivers product, solutions and customer campaign feedback to the business.
  • Align the content, timing and delivery of marketing messages and outreach
  • Create and execute on campaigns that show impact in adoption and engagement.
  • Partner cross-functionally across teams that are within different marketing roles.
  • This PMM role focuses more on the execution of the GTM activity versus the strategy and product planning.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled student at an accredited college or university working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree (masters preferred), with a major in Marketing, Communications, or related
  • Prefer prior related internship
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience preferred
  • Successful experience with prioritizing and multitasking preferred
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and presenting skills preferred
  • Technical aptitude preferred
  • Be able to commit to in-office hours according to the agreed upon schedule
