SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the creation of the product and some editorial imagery for the ongoing sales within our on-site photo studio. It requires talent in styling product (from apparel to shoes, bags, gear, and everything in between) and creating a set for the shoot. Must be able to work on a very tight timeline. Attention to detail is everything.
 
The position also requires the ability to communicate, and present information effectively and persuasively. Being able to successfully manage one's time and wear multiple hats on a small team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Possess a strong sense of lighting and composition
• Photograph a variety of products for sale with various lighting, backgrounds, and layouts
• Create and develop ideas for editorial and lifestyle imagery
• Styling and propping merchandise to enhance product and create a visual image
• Communicate with VP of Brand and Design to maintain photo standards
• Work in a fast-paced environment to meet sale deadlines
• Complete photo retouching and digital manipulation
• Be able to set schedules and meet tight deadlines — self-directed

• Current portfolio, including in-studio product photography
• At least 5 years’ experience with product photography, lighting techniques, and digital camera equipment
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong sense of color and style
• Strong studio product photography experience, preferably in a retail environment
• High energy, positive attitude, ability to develop and communicate ideas
• Well-versed in using Photoshop for postproduction manipulation when needed (layers, clipping paths, etc.)
• Possess an understanding of color conversion, correction and photo manipulation
• Proficient using Macintosh operating system and shooting tethered
