What To Expect

The New Programs Engineering Prototype team works at the front-end of vehicle design and development by creating early prototype vehicles for teams to quickly evaluate risks early in program lifecycle. This is a mechanical integration role that will focus on taking varying scope prototype projects from design through the build process. This role requires a holistic understanding of vehicle systems to interact with cross-functional teams throughout various design and engineering groups to create functional prototypes.

What You'll Do

Manage top-level product CAD and BOM, use best practices for ensuring CAD completeness and compatibility, and support release process

Lead integration reviews, mediate packaging constraints to ensure design solutions are aligned with prototype vehicle attribute targets

Manage build phase of prototype vehicles including creation of build timeline, overview of build process, and ensuring build documentation in place

Identify the need for and design tooling to support prototype vehicle builds

Support fabricators and technicians to triage and resolve issues during prototype vehicle builds

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Proven problem solving and strong communication skills

Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workloads, and meet tight delivery timelines

Detail-oriented personality with effective documentation and reporting skills

Extensive understanding of design principles that support functional product systems design

Knowledgeable in part and large assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes

Outstanding design, packaging, and 3D modeling skills; CATIA experience is an advantage

Expected Compensation

$91,600 - $195,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
