About the Team

Working alongside experienced software engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists, you will contribute to real products used by customers around the globe while developing your technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. Project Description

As a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern , you will contribute to the development of modern web applications that support Siemens EDA products and internal engineering solutions.

Throughout your internship, you will gain practical experience across the complete software development lifecycle while working closely with experienced engineers who will mentor and support your development.

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the development of new software features and enhancements
  • Support frontend and backend application development
  • Work with databases, APIs, and modern web technologies
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product Management, and Quality Assurance teams
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Learn agile software development practices and collaborative engineering workflows
  • Gain exposure to technologies used in large-scale enterprise software development

What We're Looking For

We're looking for students who are passionate about software engineering and excited to learn in a collaborative international environment.

Preferred fields of study

  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or another related technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Familiarity with web development concepts
  • Basic knowledge of Node.js is a plus
  • Basic understanding of SQL or relational databases (PostgreSQL is a plus)
  • Interest in cloud-native technologies and modern software architectures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an international team

SSP Serbia 2026–2027: Conditions & Eligibility

The Siemens Strategic Student Program (SSP) in Serbia will run from 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027 .

Depending on business needs and university requirements, internship extensions may be considered. Students may also have the opportunity to complete their Bachelor's or Master's thesis in collaboration with Siemens EDA.

Compensation

Internships at Siemens EDA are paid, and interns receive a monthly internship contribution.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, or have recently graduated from a relevant field of study.
  • Applicants should be available to work either full-time or part-time throughout the internship.
  • Good written and spoken English is required.
  • International applicants must possess the appropriate visa and/or work authorization to work in Serbia, as Siemens will not sponsor visa or work permit processes.
