What To Expect
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer who will be working on design and DFM of complex mechanical systems. This engineer will be working as part of the Tesla motor technology team located in Athens, Greece.
What You'll Do
Design and 3D modeling of mechanical components and assemblies.
Release drawings of complex mechanical systems.
Apply analytical methods including calculations and simulations for the design and optimization of structures and mechanical components.
Collaborate with other design engineers to gain an in-depth understanding of the design intend and independently work towards the most effective solution.
Perform experimental tests and simulations to validate designs and ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
Perform tolerance analysis to determine system impacts of assembly fits.
Manage suppliers to execute projects according to the design specifications and timeline commitments.
Development of test rigs for measurements of complex mechanical systems.
Rotor dynamics modeling.
What You'll Bring
Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering.
Excellent knowledge of GD&T.
Demonstrated experience in computational methods for fluid and thermal systems.
Strong skills in calculation of components / component optimization using FEA.
Proficiency in designing parts and assemblies using 3D modeling software.
Expertise in SolidWorks, CATIA, FEA simulation.
Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail and self-direction.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
English fluently in speaking, reading and writing.
