Software Engineer Internships Evergreen requisition: Software Engineer Interns (from May 2026 until Jan / June 2027)

Genesys is recruiting 18 software engineer interns to join our development teams, working on our Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. At Genesys, we take pride in our ability to on-board, train, and develop software engineers in all aspects of software development. If you have a passion for software development and want to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for students graduating in January or June 2027. The internship will run from May 2026 through January or June 2027 (depending on the graduation date), with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week.

Location: For these positions, we are only considering candidates who are happy to work from our Budapest office on a hybrid basis (minimum 2 days a week).

Your Internship at Genesys:

• Our internships will afford you an opportunity to work on all aspects of software engineering. Our rapidly growing teams are changing how businesses communicate with their customers using cloud technologies such as AWS, REST and Micro-Services architectures based primarily on Java, Python, JavaScript, and mobile technologies on IOS.
• As part of our continued investment in innovation, you will also gain exposure to how we embed Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into our platform - from intelligent automation and predictive analytics to AI-powered customer engagement solutions that are transforming how organisations connect with their customers globally.
• We are looking for dynamic undergraduates who would be excited to work in an innovative, fun and diverse environment building hosted SaaS applications at the convergence of Customer Care and Big Data.
• We will not put you in the corner to read manuals - you will learn how to write real-world software and understand how a real-world software development team functions. Many of our past interns have returned to work with us full time after graduation!
• Engineering interns are placed directly with individual scrum teams, allowing them to directly contribute to every aspect of our software development lifecycle. Already, many of the 2025 engineering interns have some code running in production - servicing Genesys' customers globally. Our teams are cross functional and global, with our interns collaborating with colleagues across many different countries.

What we look for in you:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math's, Physics, or related disciplines. We also welcome candidates from diverse educational backgrounds with a passion for software engineering.
• A genuine passion for software and a desire to work with cutting edge technologies.
• An understanding of algorithms and data structures
• An interest in learning about RESTful API designs.
• Eagerness to work with one or more of the following: Java, Python, Swift, JavaScript, and AWS.

The Software Engineer Intern Opportunities Available:

We will have software engineering openings in a variety of specialisms, from frontend, backend, full stack, mobile development, and testing. The technologies you can expect to work with in these roles could be a combination of:

• Backend – Java, Python, NodeJS
• Frontend – React, Angular, Vue, Javascript, Typescript
• Mobile (IOS) - Swift
• Automation Testing – Playwright, Selenium.
• DevOps – Terraform, kubernetes
• Machine learning / data science – sklearn, tensorflow, spark, kafka, pytorch.
• Cloud – AWS (DynamoDB, Lambdas, ec2, s3 buckets, and many more) The
