Job Description

The mechanical engineer will be responsible for providing support on all mechanical utilities at DMTN. These include but are not limited to HVAC systems, cooling water, compressed air, chilled water, RO/DI, and more. The mechanical engineer will provide direction and support to Facilities Maintenance and Production for issues regarding these systems. The engineer will also be responsible for reviewing submittals, drawings, etc… for new construction to verify equipment meets Facilities standards.

Engineer will also lead construction projects at DMTN. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining a safe jobsite and review sites for safety issues. The engineer will also be responsible for other project management tasks such as budget keeping, PO creation, schedule, etc…

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee safety on active projects
  • Maintain budget of projects
  • Open communication with DENSO departments to determine what work is required
  • Creation and tracking of purchase requisitions
  • Project management of active construction
    • Budget
    • Schedule
    • Time keeping
    • Day to Day issues
    • Weekly progress meetings
    • Punch list creation
  • Assistance in project leadership
  • Review of mechanical systems for construction projects and provide update or direction for the following:
    • HVAC
    • Compressed air
    • Cooling water / Chilled water
  • Provide direction on mechanical issues with existing equipment and support Facilities Maintenance in activities related to equipment
  • Maintain and update existing mechanical specifications

Qualifications Minimum

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical
  • FE certification completed for Mechanical or general engineering
  • 3 years equivalent work experience in manufacturing or mechanical design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic schedule creation
  • Basic checkbook balancing

Preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience in Mechanical engineering position
  • PE license in Mechanical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
