Description

Design Engineer – Thermoplastic Composites (Aerospace)

Join our team as a Design Engineer specializing in thermoplastic composites, where you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of aerospace innovation. This position offers the opportunity to lead the full lifecycle of composite structure development—from concept and design through analysis, testing, and certification. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable, and certifiable solutions for advanced aerospace systems.

What You’ll Do

Design & Modeling: Create aerospace components using thermoplastic composites with 3D CAD tools, applying GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.

Analysis: Conduct structural and thermal evaluations using FEA software (Abaqus, ANSYS) to ensure durability and performance.

Manufacturing Collaboration: Partner with production teams on DFM/DFA and advanced processes such as ATL, AFP, stamp forming, and welding.

Prototype & Testing: Support builds, testing activities, and certification documentation.

Compliance & Documentation: Maintain design records, configuration control, and adherence to FAA, EASA, and AS9100 standards.

Team Contribution: Participate in design reviews and collaborate with materials, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams while mentoring peers.
