Position Summary

Intern working as a member of the Community Development Team during the Summer 2026.

Essential Requirements

  • Comfortable learning new software programs for collecting and reporting community development information.
  • Attention to detail is essential for preparing information needed for internal and external reporting.
  • Organization of data and information needed for our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills with Bank colleagues will be needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.

Internship Basics

  • 10-to-12-week summer duration desired, flexible start and end dates.
  • 40-hour anticipated work week, Monday through Friday.
  • On-Site in South Bend, IN.
  • Paid opportunity.
  • Program Activities: Orientation Kick-off and networking opportunities with other Interns, Colleagues and Senior Management.

Experience/Skills

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in business desired. Pursuit of Urban Planning and Community Development related degrees acceptable.
  • Pursuing a career in banking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word) is essential.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize workload and manage multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
